Evidence over opinions
Stetful starts with records and evidence. If the evidence is thin, conflicting, stale, or absent from the record checked, the product says that clearly.
Model legal reality first; apply governance second
Stetful should understand the underlying legal instrument and its evidence-backed structure before policy decides what can be retained, disclosed, reconciled, suppressed, or deleted. A richer ontology does not weaken trust; it gives governance precise objects to control.
Tenant-confidential evidence; governed platform observations
Your uploaded documents, attachments, excerpts, privileged content, storage locations, and tenant-specific interpretations stay confidential to your organization. Other organizations do not receive them simply because they are named in a record.
Where law and contract permit, Stetful may maintain governed platform observations about multi-party legal instruments supported by evidence-basis and provenance records. Those observations are not the uploaded artifact, not another tenant’s interpretation, and not accepted state. They must stay minimized, non-disclosing, time/provenance-limited, tenant-isolated, and open to correction or dispute.
Customer reconciliation before tenant state
A platform observation should not silently become a tenant’s legal position. Customer reconciliation gives an organization a review path to acknowledge, dispute, reject, or promote an observation before tenant-specific interpretation or accepted state.
Accepted state over generated text
AI-generated text can be useful, but it is not the company record. Accepted state requires review, authority, and a recorded acceptance path.
Confidence over certainty
Confidence is a property of evidence coverage and review posture. It is not certainty.
