Short version

Use Stetful for authorized company records and legal questions. Do not use it to upload records you are not allowed to provide, store unrelated sensitive data, bypass security or review controls, make automated high-impact decisions without human review, or build competing models or services.

1. Scope

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) applies to your use of Stetful’s websites, first-question intake, product application, evidence upload features, AI-assisted analysis, and related services.

Capitalized terms not defined here have the meaning given in the Terms of Use.

2. Authorized legal-state use only

Stetful is designed for company records and evidence-backed legal questions. You may use Stetful only for lawful business purposes and only when you have the right and authority to submit the relevant information.

You may not upload, submit, or process records that you are not authorized to provide to Stetful.

3. Prohibited records and sensitive data misuse

Do not use Stetful as a general repository for information that does not belong in a company legal record, including:

  • medical or clinical records;
  • protected health information, except where incidental to an authorized legal-state record and lawful to provide;
  • minors’ records or data, except where incidental to an authorized legal-state record and lawful to provide;
  • consumer personal files;
  • payroll, HR case files, background checks, or employee monitoring records not tied to a legal-state question;
  • payment card data, bank credentials, passwords, or authentication secrets;
  • government identifiers where not necessary for the legal-state purpose; or
  • data you are contractually or legally barred from providing.

Stetful is not a HIPAA business associate unless Stetful has separately signed a Business Associate Agreement.

4. No legal-advice substitution or unauthorized practice

Do not present Stetful as a lawyer, law firm, legal advisor, or substitute for qualified counsel. Do not use Stetful output as legal advice without appropriate professional review.

If you are a lawyer or legal professional, you remain responsible for your professional duties, supervision, confidentiality, privilege, competence, and independent judgment.

5. No accepted-state bypass

You may not use Stetful to bypass review, approval, or acceptance controls. AI-generated answers, classifications, findings, action cards, or proposed representations must not be treated as accepted state unless Stetful records the required company-authorized review/acceptance receipt.

6. No high-impact automated decisions without human review

You may not use Stetful as the sole basis for high-impact decisions involving legal rights, employment, credit, housing, education, healthcare, insurance, public benefits, criminal justice, or similar areas. Appropriate human review and professional judgment are required.

7. No unlawful or harmful use

You may not use Stetful to:

  • violate law or regulation;
  • infringe intellectual property, privacy, confidentiality, contractual, or other rights;
  • deceive, defraud, harass, threaten, or harm any person or organization;
  • generate or distribute malware or harmful code;
  • conduct surveillance or profiling unrelated to company record work;
  • conceal evidence, obstruct investigations, or facilitate wrongdoing; or
  • create outputs intended to mislead a court, regulator, investor, auditor, customer, board, counsel, or other stakeholder.

8. No security abuse

You may not:

  • probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of Stetful systems without authorization;
  • bypass authentication, authorization, rate limits, safety systems, or tenant boundaries;
  • access or attempt to access another customer’s data;
  • interfere with or disrupt the Service;
  • submit malicious files or payloads;
  • scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Service except as expressly allowed; or
  • reverse engineer the Service except to the extent law prohibits this restriction.

Report vulnerabilities to security@stetful.com.

9. No model extraction or competitive misuse

You may not use Stetful, Stetful outputs, or Stetful workflows to train, fine-tune, benchmark, or evaluate competing models or services, or to build a substantially similar product, except with Stetful’s written permission.

10. Enforcement

Stetful may remove content, limit features, suspend accounts, terminate access, preserve evidence, or notify appropriate parties if we reasonably believe this AUP has been violated or that action is needed to protect users, customers, third parties, Stetful, or the public.
